In order to get better result of your ultrasound session, we recommend you to drink plenty of water (32 ounces/day) during all your pregnancy to ensure there is an adequate amount of amniotic fluid around the fetus. (Drinking large amount of water immediately before the ultrasound appointment does not help to have clearer images.) We also encourage you to keep healthy pregnancy diet: a lot of vegetables and fruits and positive emotions!

What Happens During an Ultrasound?

Ultrasound image (sonogram) is generated by returning echoes from sound waves emitted into the body. The returning echoes are processed by a sophisticated software resulting in a reconstructed 3D image of fetus's surface. 4D is when you see your baby's movement, where the 4th dimention is - time.

3D ultrasounds are possible between 20 and 38 weeks of pregnancy. Medical regular routine diagnostic scan 18-20 weeks must be done before. 20-27 weeks is an action movie, baby is skinny, after 27 weeks baby moves less, face is completely formed and defined. It is time for nice pictures of a chubby face. Gender assessment can be done at any time after 20 weeks.

Your whole ultrasound session is recorded on DVD. The best moments are captured on CD as still pictures and video clips - EASY to share with your family and friends by EMAIL. Pictures and clips can be recorded on to USB memory stick.
One of the most exciting moments during the ultrasound session is hearing and viewing baby’s HEARTBEAT. It is recorded on DVD as well. It also may be recorded on your cell phone.
